I am full swing in wedding season right now so I guess there's no better time to keep the blog updated, right? After almost having a heart attack over my tax bill this morning, I jumped on a plane to DC for a wedding that I have coming up this Friday with my wonderful friend Sara Muchnick from Engaging Affairs. This year is a very busy one for me and I'm actually going to be shooting the weddings of 3 different vendors from my own wedding. How crazy is that? In May I'm shooting the wedding of Steve, the drummer from our wedding band, Gonzo's Nose. In September, I'm shooting the wedding of Andrew, one of our wedding videographers from Monachetti. And in November I'm shooting Sara's wedding. It's such an honor to be asked to shoot the wedding of another wedding professional so it's going to be an exciting

Jill & Sean – Hotel Monaco Wedding
I know it's been absolutely ages since I've blogged (head hanging). But since my new blogsite is in it's final programming stages, I figure I had better start blogging again so that all of my content isn't super old when people actually start reading again. So here goes. If anyone needs an update, I am living in Los Angeles with my wonderful husband of 6 months, Gary but still flying to the east coast (mainly DC but also NYC, Montreal & Maine this year) for various weddings. One of the most recent was Jill & Sean's wedding at St. Matthew's Cathedral and Hotel Monaco on March 28th. I think that Jill found me through one of my brides from a few years ago but as it turns out, we actually had a number of connections. Jill's cousins Carey (who was a bridesmaid) and Lori were sorority sisters of mine at Virginia

Just a wedding guest
Now this hardly ever happens to me...that I am invited to a wedding as just a guest and I have to say that it is soooo much fun to have absolutely zero responsibility...to be able to drink a little too much wine and dance the night away without a care in the world. Except for trying not to sit on my camera and smash it into a thousand pieces. Well last night Gary and I attended the wedding of a really wonderful couple, Krysia & Gene held at Krysia's sister's home in the Burbank Hills. There were only about 40 guests in attendance and it was just so intimate and beautiful and we had an amazing time. I did of course drag a camera along with me just for fun. The official wedding photographer was Josh from Mi Belle and we got to chat for a bit. Anyway, here are a few

Kerry & Dan’s Wedding, Hotel Monaco
Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with Kerry and Dan, a couple of playwrights who share a great love of the theater. They held the wedding at Hotel Monaco which is one of my very favorite venues in DC. Florals were by the always fabulous Helen Olivia. Here are a few highlights... We started with a few portraits of Kerry and Dan around the hotel, they looked very Old Hollywood glam. Kerry's gorgeous bouquet complete with a comedy & drama mask charm. Kerry & Dan were walked down the aisle by their cute schnauzer. Playbills as ceremony programs, nice touch huh? There were lots of adorable children at this wedding which always adds to the fun and excitement. The receiving line.

Erin & Sean’s Wedding
Today I bring you the long awaited wedding of Erin & Sean which I shot in Annapolis a couple of weeks ago. Erin and I were sorority sisters (Alphi Phi) together at Virginia Tech, we were actually in the same pledge class and played lacrosse together freshman year...even though I only played one game and decided that exercise was not going to be part of my regular college life. :) Anyway, during hte past couple of weeks, traveling and then having my dad visit for a week has left me having lots of fun but a bit behind on my editing so I apologize. Thank you to Erin & Sean and guests for being so patient. Here are some highlights.... This picture should say a lot about how the day started out. There was a tornado warning and it was so rainy and windy, we were afraid the tent might blow away. Then
