Well it has been quite a busy past month for me...including 6 airplane rides, 2 road trips, 6 weddings, 2 engagement sessions, attending a wedding as a guest and all sorts of socializing in between. But I am determined to share it all here on the blog...piece by piece. Right before I left for this most recent trip I watched Planes, Trains & Automobiles and I thought to myself, wow that's kind of like my life during wedding season...minus the John Candy character. But I am happy to be home for at least a good 3 weeks before I head to New England for a very special wedding that I am super excited about. Anyway, first thing's first...the fabulously gorgeous wedding of Megan and Jon. Seriously, such a lovely couple, beautiful families, a great time all around. And a little rain didn't spoil any of the fun I got to

I never got to meet Jacquelyn & Clinton until the day of their wedding but they could not have been more lovely if they had tried. Everything about this wedding was elegant and warm and friendly and calm, including the couple and both of their families. I enjoyed the entire day immensely. A big thank you to Jen Stiebel of SoCo Events for bringing us together and to Christina Masters for coming all the way up from North Carolina to 2nd shoot with me! Ceremony Venue: Grace Episcopal Church in Georgetown Reception Venue: The Willard Hotel Wedding Gown: Amsale Jacquelyn was totally channeling Audrey Hepburn, classic and gorgeous! Jacquelyn had these lockets with photos of her grandparents attached to her bouquet. Jacquelyn gave Clinton a beautiful watch as a wedding day gift. And until this delicious treat was delivered to the Jenny Lind Suite, I had no idea that Jacquelyn's wedding day was also her birthday. :) Checking

Memorial Day weekend this year was a busy one for me...and I know, I'm way way late to be blogging about Memorial Day weekend but what can I do. Jenni & I started the day with Tracy over at the Sofitel in Washington DC and eventually made it over to Decatur House which is right next door to the White House. Personally I love a wedding that is all in one location. No driving, no traffic, it make everything so much more streamlined...and fun. I was just tickled to work with some fabulous vendors on this wedding: Coordinator: Ritzy Bee Flowers: Chapple Flowers Caterer: Susan Gage

Well since my last blog post I have been to Nantucket, NYC, Haiti, San Diego and Lake Tahoe so I swear it's not my fault that I've been a bad blogger. But still I apologize and luckily have plenty to post about over the next couple of weeks. So let me take you back to memorial day weekend which I spent in DC shooting back-to-back weddings with the lovely and talented Jenni Green, my favorite person to spend a weekend with aside from my husband. So on May 29th we were absolutely tickled to photograph Cherie and Matt, one of the most light-hearted and fun couples you will ever meet. And their wedding day could not have possibly been more perfect or beautiful or fabulous and all pulled together seamlessly by the incredible Sara Muchnick of Engaging Affairs. Other amazing vendors I worked with: Video: Blue Sky Films Florals & Decor: Capitol Decor Caterer: Occasions Tent:

I'm super stoked today to share with you today the slideshow from Jane & Mark's lovely Washington DC wedding at Dahlgren Chapel and The Reagan Building. This was the first wedding where I've attempted to shoot a little bit of video with my Canon 5D Mark II, even though I've owned the camera for well over a year. Sometimes it takes a little while to adjust to new technology. I tend to run out and buy the new thing right away and then have to slowly figure out how on earth to actually use it. Jane & Mark's wedding from Justine Ungaro on Vimeo. A big thanks to all of the other vendors who made this wedding a big success!
