I must say that it is particularly special when I am asked by a photographer or anyone who knows a lot about photography to shoot their wedding/ family/ children/ whatever. So I was particularly thrilled when recently my friend & (CEO of my lab, Pictage) Jim Collins asked me to photograph his son for his senior portraits. Especially since I don't really shoot senior portraits. Well this would be my third one ever. But what was really interesting was to work with a young man who is on the brink of adult-hood and try to show him a more grown-up version of himself...while still trying to capture the person he is today. So here are a few faves from my session with Mitch. Thanks again for being such a good sport! :)

Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately. All of you photographers out there know that this is a crazy time of year getting ready for the holiday season. I just got back from the Pictage PartnerCon in New Orleans last night which was an incredibly fun, educational and enlightening time. During the 8 days leading up to it, I photographed 17 families. I know, that sounds psychotic but I'm doing my best to take care of all of the wonderful families who trust me to photograph their families year after year. Most of them want a great image or two to put on their holiday cards and this year I have some new adorable templates from Identity Kitchen for them to choose from. Check 'em out: The deadline to order holiday cards is December 1st so if you're a wedding or portrait client, don't forget to get in touch soon...thank you!
