Okay, I'm just going to pretend like I haven't been the world's worst blogger as of late. I swear it's not because I've had nothing to share. :) I've just been super busy flying all over the place and shooting a ton and boy do I have a bajillion images to share with you if I can just get through them all. So I guess one thing at a time. So first I want to bring you some highlights from Amanda & James' gorgeous wedding at National City Christian Church & The Mellon Auditorium in Washington DC. These two had the most incredible tropical decor and even topped it off with tables in the shape of X's and O'x, as in kisses and hugs. Amanda wore two dresses. The whole thing was just fabulous in general. Enjoy! Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while might remember Abby & Zack from the really fun engagement session we shot at their adorable new home back in May. Well their wedding on the most popular date of the year 10/10/10 was fabulous. I had all but promised them that the weather would be perfect simply because of my (not so) scientific research over the years which led me to schedule my own wedding for the same weekend exactly 2 years as you can imagine I was quite relieved when it turned out to be a beautiful day. Phew! :) Jenni and I woke up bright and early to head out to Great Oak Manor in Chestertown Maryland where we got to work with a really incredible team: Coordinator: Amy Jones of Engaging Affairs Caterer: Kate Brannack (one of my brides from this year) of Occasions Tent: Sugar Plum

I can't even tell you how excited I was to return to shoot a wedding at Halcyon House, the very place where I myself was married almost 2 years ago. Halcyon House is one of Washington DC's most unique wedding venues which is probably why it tends to be a popular venue amongst DC wedding industry insiders...for instance, the very lovely Kate of Occasions Caterers. Kate and I had worked together here and there but didn't really know each other so I was both flattered and excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding. For me, there is just no greater compliment. When I found out that her love Simo was Moroccan, well that was just the icing on the cake for me considering that my mother grew up in Morocco and having spent time there, it's a very special place to me. And my oh my, these two
