I already posted the video/ slideshow from this wedding so now it's time to just post some images. First up, Jane's bridal prep.
I was so happy to see my own wedding day hair and makeup team back together again. Leah McKay and Giselle Chreky never disappoint and Jane looked absolutely stunning.
Gown from Hitched.
When I saw that Jane was going to wear her mother's wedding veil, I just about died. It was so beautiful and such a nice vintage touch.
I love this sequence of Jane and her parents.
Can you say STUNNING?!
The ceremony was held in Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University so we had to grab a few fun wedding party portraits in the classrooms.
That's all for now, I'll be back soon with more...

I'm super stoked today to share with you today the slideshow from Jane & Mark's lovely Washington DC wedding at Dahlgren Chapel and The Reagan Building. This was the first wedding where I've attempted to shoot a little bit of video with my Canon 5D Mark II, even though I've owned the camera for well over a year. Sometimes it takes a little while to adjust to new technology. I tend to run out and buy the new thing right away and then have to slowly figure out how on earth to actually use it.

A big thanks to all of the other vendors who made this wedding a big success!

My relationship with Steve began about a year and a half ago when I contacted him about hiring his band, Gonzo's Nose to play at my own wedding. After a lot of emails back and forth, I officially booked them and a few months later dragged my friends Kelly and Mary to finally see them play live at Pentagon Row in Arlington. I had heard great things about the band for years but somehow never actually got to see them during my years in the DC area...probably because I was too busy shooting weddings on Saturday nights throughout my twenties. Anyway, it was that day at Pentagon Row that I finally got to meet Steve and the rest of the band in person. I mentioned something about being a wedding photographer and Steve admitted that he was also engaged. So of course being the shameless self-promoter that I tend to

Does everyone remember Sloane & Dave from their e-session a couple of weeks ago? The adorable couple blowing dandelions in each other's faces? Yes, them. Well yesterday Jenni and I shot their wedding at the Reagan Building which is such a fantastic venue having both indoor and outdoor spaces which I love. I was a little worried about the Memorial Day weekend and the potential of "Rolling Thunder" to be a little loud during the ceremony but everything turned out great and it was an incredibly lovely day thanks to the great team I got to work with:
Coordinator: Sara Muchnick with help from & Amy Engaging Affairs
Florist: Amaryllis
Cake: Kendall's Cakes
Rentals: Party Rental
Makeup: Leah McKay
Getting ready...
I shot these in the bar of the hotel, lit with a video light.
And then met the guys over at the Reagan Building.
Had so much fun playing with my brand new tilt-shift lens.
