Okay I know I'm way way behind on my blogging but I'm going to make an attempt to blog almost every day until I catch up. So the first thing to share is Alex & Jim's gorgeous wedding which took place last month at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. My day started over at the Hotel Monaco with Alex. Just getting there was crazy because of all of the protests. You name it, someone was pissed off and protesting about it and literally right in front of the Monaco, just my luck. Even the valet was shut down because of all of the madness...and I almost ran some lady over with my car...didn't she know I was on my way somewhere very important? Anyway, after making it there in one piece, Kim and I got to spend the day was some really lovely people. Some of the talented artists/

I know it's been absolutely ages since I've blogged (head hanging). But since my new blogsite is in it's final programming stages, I figure I had better start blogging again so that all of my content isn't super old when people actually start reading again. So here goes. If anyone needs an update, I am living in Los Angeles with my wonderful husband of 6 months, Gary but still flying to the east coast (mainly DC but also NYC, Montreal & Maine this year) for various weddings. One of the most recent was Jill & Sean's wedding at St. Matthew's Cathedral and Hotel Monaco on March 28th. I think that Jill found me through one of my brides from a few years ago but as it turns out, we actually had a number of connections. Jill's cousins Carey (who was a bridesmaid) and Lori were sorority sisters of mine at Virginia

Here it is, a 12"x12" Queensberry matted album. Anna & Todd's beautiful wedding was May 3rd, 2008 at Hotel Monaco in DC. Although flush-mount albums have been very popular over the past several years, I never stopped offering the matted variety. I predict that there will be a surge in the popularity of these great-looking albums in the next couple of years as the pendulum swings back toward a more minimal and classic sensibility. Are you with me? :)

Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with Kerry and Dan, a couple of playwrights who share a great love of the theater. They held the wedding at Hotel Monaco which is one of my very favorite venues in DC. Florals were by the always fabulous Helen Olivia. Here are a few highlights... We started with a few portraits of Kerry and Dan around the hotel, they looked very Old Hollywood glam. Kerry's gorgeous bouquet complete with a comedy & drama mask charm. Kerry & Dan were walked down the aisle by their cute schnauzer. Playbills as ceremony programs, nice touch huh? There were lots of adorable children at this wedding which always adds to the fun and excitement. The receiving line.

What a whirlwind few days I've had! On Wednesday night, I arrived in DC for a quick but fun-filled trip which started with an engagement session at Great Falls park on Thursday, a pregnancy portrait on Friday afternoon followed by an engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial. Saturday, I shot Anna & Todd's wedding at Hotel Monaco in DC and this afternoon (Sunday) had another engagement session in Old Town Alexandria. First thing tomorrow morning I will hop on a plane back to LA but before that I wanted to blog at least something from this trip. So when I received some images from my awesome assistant Jenni which she shot at the wedding on Saturday, I knew what I would have to post them. She sent me these crazy pictures of myself where it sort of looks like I'm just sort of rolling around on the floor or yelling
