My session with The McColls had been a long time coming. Gwyn and I met sometime in late 2010 via their friends and neighbors The McGraw/ Pierson family who are long-term clients of mine. Even better, The McColls are yet another client who live close enough to me for me to walk over to their house. Of course I didn't...because this is LA after all, and no one walks. :) Kidding...I might walk if I didn't bring so much gear but I digress. Scarlet and Tula were dressed as cute as could be when I arrived and just got even cuter when they came out decked out in full ballerina garb. I love girly girls and I just think that when they look back on these in 20 years it will make them smile to see themselves all cutsied up in tiaras and just having fun...in their home, with their doggies.

I was so pleased to have the opportunity to work with another delightful Pettus family this year. Those who have been reading this blog for a LONG time or just know me really well know that my other Pettus Family, the Alexandra & Charleton Pettus clan were my first clients after I moved to Los Angeles. And since then I can trace back probably about 70% of my business back to their initial referrals. I adore them for more reasons than they could ever know. So when I received an email from Julia & Tom Pettus (Charleton's cousins), I was just thrilled to add yet another Pettus family to my collection of lovely clients. And this young (and growing) family could not possibly be more adorable or delightful if they tried. Julia and Tom are expecting little Tuck to arrive any day now so they really wanted to capture a

Each year the lovely Horowitz Family sends out a Valentine's Day card and for the past 2 years I have been lucky enough to shoot it. Here is this year's image choice featuring Chloe & Jordan (& selected by Chloe & Jordan, mom won last year). Now their mother Joi loves to be creative with the text side of the card and this year she presented me with this magazine clipping as inspiration. I sent this to my fabulous associate photographer/ designer Jenni Green and she did a beautiful job translating it into a fun card design. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! xo

I was so thrilled to meet and photograph the unbearably cute and delightfully sweet Yang children sometime before the holidays. Kiyan and Jaewon must have been the most patient and kind big brothers I have ever seen and boy do they love their little sister, Seri. The three of us basically just chased this little one all over their yard. So cute.

I shot some images before the holidays that I was just dying to share here but I didn't want to unveil them before my dear clients had mailed them out. You know, I didn't want to ruin the surprise. This was the 4th year in a row that I did holiday cards for the Kiriakou family. They've all been a hit but the reaction from family and friends has been so great that we've felt the pressure to outdo last year's card. And I think we did again. Better start planning for next year. Now the McIntyres were new clients for me this year...and friends of the Kiriakous. Everyone loved this card as well. But now I do believe I have waged a holiday card war between these two families. We shall see what 2011 brings...but the pressure is on!
