When you live in Hollywood sometimes you have to go to Hollywood things like premiere parties and stuff.  Sometimes it's not as glamorous or fun as it sounds and you strike deals with your husband to go home early. But last night was actually both fun and glamorous and a really great night out. A couple of weeks ago my friend Jordan emailed me with a very simple question, "want to do something fun with us on the 25th?" I thought sure, maybe the 4 of us will go bowling or something. Then she came out with it, "want to go to the Bruno premiere?" Okay. We decided that we must properly document the evening via iPhones. So we battled the traffic over the hill over to the famed Grauman's Chinese Theatre, picked up our tickets at will call and proceeded into the theater. Of course we had to pause for just

Sometimes my pictures are in magazines. Almost never is a picture of me in a magazine. So I figured why not share our wedding feature in the most recent issue of Washingtonian's Bride & Groom. Enjoy! A big thank you to our amazing photographer Greg Gibson! There is also a feature in this issue that I photographed, Sloane & Dave's wedding last May. I stole the above scans from Giselle's blog and I still need to scan my feature so that's coming soon. :)

Well after the 3 day weekend I am so relaxed that I feel like I've been on vacation for a week! Gary and were babysitting our niece Zoe (9) and our nephew Henry (6) since we returned from Montreal last Wednesday so although it was busy and crazy, we returned them on Sunday and it just took us one full day to recover. So now it's back to work to get as much work done as possible before I leave for DC on Thursday for another marathon work trip. Anyway, yesterday our dear friends John & Cheri Burke invited us over for a little Memorial Day bbq & pool party (John actually became ordained online & performed our wedding ceremony last October). And although I usually leave my camera at home for such events, this time I had to bring it along since I had promised the Burkes that we would

Most of you have probably never heard of this before but there is a very special group of people in Los Angeles who call themselves the "Guerrilla Gardeners". They take the time to go out and with our permission, beautify and greenify the city one little patch at a time. Think freeway exit ramps, highway medians and last night, a hill above an Arco gas station near Glendale. It's not exactly legal but it seems that the authorities look the other way. Can you imagine being arrested or ticketed for planting flowers?! Anyway, Gary's friend Angela guerrilla gardens two or three nights a week and invited us to come along last night. What a cool experience it is! I didn't actually plant anything myself because I was too busy shooting the process. So here are just a few.

Now this hardly ever happens to me...that I am invited to a wedding as just a guest and I have to say that it is soooo much fun to have absolutely zero responsibility...to be able to drink a little too much wine and dance the night away without a care in the world. Except for trying not to sit on my camera and smash it into a thousand pieces. Well last night Gary and I attended the wedding of a really wonderful couple, Krysia & Gene held at Krysia's sister's home in the Burbank Hills. There were only about 40 guests in attendance and it was just so intimate and beautiful and we had an amazing time. I did of course drag a camera along with me just for fun. The official wedding photographer was Josh from Mi Belle and we got to chat for a bit. Anyway, here are a few
