I knew from the first email I ever received from Jay that I would have to shoot her wedding. She was just so enthusiastic about photography and was so full of ideas, I knew we were meant for each other. :) One of my favorites ideas she had was to take inspiration from one of their favorite movies, 500 Days of Summer, for their engagement session. So a couple of days before our scheduled session, I re-watched the movie and Jay sent me a map of all of the various downtown LA locations where they shot it. Some locations we just couldn't get to but I think we nailed the most important one...the one that resonated in my mind most of all...the now very famous bench. Now if you haven't seen the movie, it has a very strong architectural theme so I wanted to incorporate the city of downtown Los Angeles

Well after a ton of traveling and a ton of shooting this summer, I have tons and tons of images to blog. So first thing first. Sarika and Prabhu were one of those couples that I just adored right from the start. Lucky for me that I get to spend two wedding days with them. One wedding in San Diego where Sarika is from and another wedding celebration in Washington DC 2 weeks later where they live. It's going to be gorgeous and I was so thrilled to be able to get these two in front of my camera for their engagement session a few weeks ago. We started out behind shooting behind Sarika's parents house with Sarika in this gorgeous eggplant-colored sari which she brought back from a recent trip to India and then headed off to La Jolla for a little variety. Thanks so much for being so much fun to

I will try to keep it up because I have tons of weddings and shoots that I have yet to blog. So today I bring you the engagement session I did with Jamie and Aaron at The Getty Museum. I am embarrassed to say that even though I drive by it all the time, this was my first time at The Getty and wow, is it breathtaking. I didn't even make it inside but the grounds alone have incredible gardens, sculptures and the most beautiful views. Anyway, Jamie is the daughter of my friend and fellow photographer Ray Prevost. Ray is a genius photographer and Photoshop guru whom I have the utmost respect for so I was incredibly flattered if not
