I never miss an opportunity to go to Palm Springs, it is one of my absolute favorite places to visit and I LOVE shooting weddings there. Lauren & Chris came to me by way of Jay & Mike who were married on New Year’s Eve at The Parker. I didn’t meet Lauren & Chris until the day of their wedding at The Colony Palms Hotel but they were just as delightful as I could have imagined. They rented out the entire hotel for a weekend with family and friends and I was so happy to be a part of it.

Kristeen Labrot did an exquisite job coordinating the event and I was blown away by the stylish and unique floral designs by Marla Hudnall.

I learned that if you try hard enough you can fit 9 cute girls in one adorable clawfoot tub.

After their first look I took Lauren & Chris out to the dessert for some pictures. It was SO windy that day, we almost blew away and had to hide in the car for a few minutes.

See? Windy.

A few details being set up before the ceremony. The florals at this wedding were simply divine.

Just moments after this Lauren’s veil blew right off of her head…just as they were pronounced husband and wife. The timing could not have been better. I had given Lauren a little pep talk right before the ceremony and told her “if your veil blows off…and it might…just go with it and laugh it off.” Well it did and she did. As I was photographing the recessional, Lauren looked right at me and said “how did you know?” Well…we photographers just know these things. :)
See? No veil. It is now resting in her mother’s lap in the lower left corner of the frame.

One of their guests made this shotski and everyone had a great time with it all night.

What a beautiful and fun wedding this was! A big thanks to Christine Arnold and Frances Iacuzzi for shooting with me.
