Check out my most recent photo published in the LA Times, included in a story by the very fabulous Jennifer Gardner about all white weddings. Congratulations Anora & Josh! I actually missed the paper the day it came out because I had no idea when the story would run. So a big thank you to Scott Miura from Pictage for snagging it for me so that I could scan & post!

On New Year's Day as my husband, Gary and our two dogs were attempting to unpack boxes at our new home, my mother Diana and I were traipsing through the desert with Jay and Mike for the couple's day-after session in Palm Springs. Now there are certain wedding venues (like The Parker) that you just can't explore fully on the wedding day itself because there is just not enough time...and most brides don't really want to get their gowns dirty before they have even taken a walk down the aisle, I get it. But every now and then I need the chance to explore some fun locations without the fear of getting anyone wrinkled or dirty or late. So we started at The Parker, visited The Ace Hotel and then ended at the wind farm near the interstate.

You might remember Jay and Mike from their really fun 500 Days of Summer inspired engagement session a few months back. Their wedding took place at The Parker Palm Springs, one of my all time favorite wedding venues...on New Year's Eve. With a color palette of black & white with splashes of red, white lanterns illuminating the after-dark ceremony, photo booth and New Years hats and crowns, it was a glamourous but laid-back and really fun atmosphere. Coordinator: Celebrations of Joy Flowers: Arrangements Design Gown: Vera Wang Jay & Mike had their good friend John officiate their wedding so I had to grab this tongue-in-cheek portrait of him showing off his clergy certificate after being ordained online. Jay accented her super sexy Vera Wang gown with a black sash. Stunning! They always have random fruit laying around at The Parker so we decided to do a tribute to "The Real Housewives". Well I think I posted my bio clip from Shutter Wars pretty much everywhere but here and I can't believe I forgot to share it on my blog, oops! Shutter Wars is a photographer competition webisode series created by photographer Armin Defiesta. A couple of weeks ago I flew to DC to be a judge on this really awesome project. I had so much fun meeting all of the fantastic contestants and working with fellow judges Nicole Wolf and Douglas Sonders. I think the first webisode debuts on February 10th so be sure to check it out! And here's me just blabbering on video. :)
