Some of you may remember Erin’s lovely younger sister Caroline from the blog a few months ago…senior portraits, ring a bell? Well there are few things I love more than working with the same families over and over again. I really feel as though I start to become a part of their family, their memories, their history. I become their historian of sorts, capturing all of the most important life events. Well Erin and Austin were engaged a few months ago and although their wedding won’t happen for a few years (until after Austin finishes vet school), I was so thrilled when they asked me to do an engagement session with them while they were in town for the holidays. And what can I say, what a beautiful, sweet, lovely couple. We shot all over and around The Adamson House in Malibu.

    daayum! awesome photos Justine!
great job scouting that location, and the poses are FIERCE–no rainbows ‘n unicorns fluff from you ;)

is that location open to the public?

i’m diggin the fashion editorial look to the photos.

those look like they were shot w/ an 85L and a 50L, no ?

  4. justine says:

Thanks you guys! James, I used a few lenses for this session. 50, 85, 24-70, 70-200, 45 TS. I think only one of the ones I blogged was shot with the 85.

The location is open to the public but we didn’t do any scouting. Just showed up and then wandered from place to place. Luckily we found lots of good locations right there without having to jump in the car.

  5. Stunning couple and gorgeous photos. Agree with all above: locations are amazing and I envy your eye!
