The Guzmans are close friends of some of my other portrait clients which I find is true of pretty much everyone I photograph these days. Los Angeles has been smushed down to a very small circle for me which to be honest, makes it much more lovely and small-town(ish). It feels like everyone knows everyone and all I want is to be THE photographer amongst my own little circle. Mostly I focus in Studio City and the Hollywood Hills but I'm finding myself more and more all over this sprawling city, most recently over in Beverlywood to work with this truly loving and fun family. We played on the trampoline a bit and the girls called the static electricity "being electrified". We had an awful lot of fun with all of that hair. :) Plato, the family dog (who I hear goes on his own playdates) fully participated in our session as

Well thank you everyone for the amazing response on the Lisa Loeb Eyewear giveaway. There were a LOT of entries but I'm very happy to say congratulations to Brianne Hilpipre who chose Everyday in Liquorice Ice as her favorite frames. Brianne, please email me with your mailing address and we'll get your frames out to you. But I have good news for the rest of you who didn't win because the lovely people over at Classique Eyewear are offering you all $25 off the purchase of your choice of frames. Just use coupon code eyewear11 at checkout. But act quickly, I don't know how long the coupon code is going to last. Since you all seem to really like these giveaways I'm going to try to do one every week, at least until I run out of stuff to give away, or people to hit up for stuff to give away. :)
I never got to meet Jacquelyn & Clinton until the day of their wedding but they could not have been more lovely if they had tried. Everything about this wedding was elegant and warm and friendly and calm, including the couple and both of their families. I enjoyed the entire day immensely. A big thank you to Jen Stiebel of SoCo Events for bringing us together and to Christina Masters for coming all the way up from North Carolina to 2nd shoot with me! Ceremony Venue: Grace Episcopal Church in Georgetown Reception Venue: The Willard Hotel Wedding Gown: Amsale Jacquelyn was totally channeling Audrey Hepburn, classic and gorgeous! Jacquelyn had these lockets with photos of her grandparents attached to her bouquet. Jacquelyn gave Clinton a beautiful watch as a wedding day gift. And until this delicious treat was delivered to the Jenny Lind Suite, I had no idea that Jacquelyn's wedding day was also her birthday. :) Checking
I was so lucky to have so many awesomely creative and well-dressed clients to work with this year. This was my third portrait session with the beautiful Laibow family and my first session at their new home in Pacific Palisades. We bribed Sivan with lollipops which made their way into many of the images but I find that anything that keeps a toddler happy is a good thing. :) This was a super fun session to conceive, art direct and shoot. There's nothing better than when a client comes with some of their own ideas. Thank you again Galit, Brian & Sivan! I love that you can see some of last year's mini-session images in the background.
