Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while might remember Abby & Zack from the really fun engagement session we shot at their adorable new home back in May. Well their wedding on the most popular date of the year 10/10/10 was fabulous. I had all but promised them that the weather would be perfect simply because of my (not so) scientific research over the years which led me to schedule my own wedding for the same weekend exactly 2 years prior...so as you can imagine I was quite relieved when it turned out to be a beautiful day. Phew! :) Jenni and I woke up bright and early to head out to Great Oak Manor in Chestertown Maryland where we got to work with a really incredible team: Coordinator: Amy Jones of Engaging Affairs Caterer: Kate Brannack (one of my brides from this year) of Occasions Tent: Sugar Plum

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It has started out as quite a lovely day. My niece and nephew slept over last night. Miss Zoe is currently eating waffles in bed watching the Macy's parade, Master Henry and Gary are drawing all sorts of violent "boy stuff" that I just can't understand, the dogs are playing at my feet and I am sitting at my desk with a waffle and a mimosa. So I thought, why not put up a blog post in the midst of all of the festivities? So...here is a recent portrait session I did with the absolutely beautiful and very enjoyable Krell family; Ami, Jacky, Justin & Ryan. Enjoy!
I know I've been a bad blogger lately so I have an enormous stockpile of weddings and portraits to share here so hopefully I'll get to catch up over the next few weeks. And since it's Thanksgiving Eve and since my niece Zoe and my nephew Henry are having a sleepover at our place tonight, I'll keep this short and just get to some images. So if you remember a couple of posts ago I shared Sarika & Prabhu's gorgeous indian wedding in San Diego. Well they also had a big wedding reception in Washington DC 2 weeks later and I was there (along with Jenni) to catch all of the action at the Ritz Carlton and on the national mall. I was just thinking today about how I get to shoot an awful lot of cool things. And sometimes I get swag from the people whom I've photographed. So I figured that it was time to start sharing some of the goods here on the blog so I'm going to start doing a weekly giveaway. Sometimes it will make sense to you, sometimes it won't...but who doesn't love free stuff? So this week I'm going to be giving away a free CD from an incredible recording artist named Laura Mann. Laura lives and plays in Philly most of the time but I got to shoot with her when she was out in LA early this year recording her latest album "Bowtie & Rose Tattoo". We had a blast together so I was so excited to finally get the finished CD in the mail last week. And I'm going to give away
