I feel like I have been in high wedding season all year, well since February at least. When I lived on the east coast, I worked really, really hard between April and June, got a little time off in the summer and then hussled again from September through November. Well now that I work very regularly on both coasts, wedding season never does seem to end. But hey, it keeps me on my toes. In additional to shooting lots and lots of wedding these days, I’m also designing and producing lots and lots of wedding albums. So why not share them here, right?

A little while back I delivered this 10″ flush-mount album by Leather Craftsmen to a really lovely couple who were married at one of my all time favorite Los Angeles wedding venues, Marvimon. I suggested the Japanese book cloth cover in taupe because it reminded me of Perry’s suit and the red imprinting picked up the subtle Chinese influence you might see throughout the album. I think it turned out so lovely.

Your work is so beautiful. Just curious how you do your album design or if you outsource it. I love to design albums but NEVER have the time since I am shooting. I love the simple layouts. I have seen other layouts but not fond of overlays, floral templates, etc. I love clean, contemporary presentations. I would love your advice on how to make this easier to design yet not have to charge my customers too much or absorb too much of the cost of albums.
    Help!

Thank you so much Lilianna! To answer your question, I do all of my own album designs in Photojunction. Like you I love clean & simple and this is one thing I just haven’t been able to let go of doing myself…nor do I plan to. But luckily PJ really streamlines the process for me and makes it very easy to make changes/ updates based on client feedback. I highly recommend!
