Halcyon House Wedding – Kate & Simo
I can’t even tell you how excited I was to return to shoot a wedding at Halcyon House, the very place where I myself was married almost 2 years ago. Halcyon House is one of Washington DC’s most unique wedding venues which is probably why it tends to be a popular venue amongst DC wedding industry insiders…for instance, the very lovely Kate of Occasions Caterers. Kate and I had worked together here and there but didn’t really know each other so I was both flattered and excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding. For me, there is just no greater compliment. When I found out that her love Simo was Moroccan, well that was just the icing on the cake for me considering that my mother grew up in Morocco and having spent time there, it’s a very special place to me. And my oh my, these two could not possibly have been more in love with each other. Add to that the super fun nature of the crowd and the totally fab details and this wedding was a dream come true all around. A big thank you to Kim Seidl for shooting this one with me.

As always I was thrilled to work with some wonderful friends:
