A little over a month ago I had the absolute pleasure to work with Natalie and Mike, a totally adorable and fun couple whom it seems I met with absolutely ages ago. You might remember their engagement session and if not, you can visit it here. Their wedding was planned by the always fabulous Laura Weatherly from Engaging Affairs and held at the very famous Willard Hotel in Washington DC. With vibrant, decadent florals by Amaryllis. Here are some of the highlights. A big thank you to Jenni Green for shooting along with me as usual.
Video: Tom Bowen
Gown: Carine’s Bridal Atelier
Band: Sound Connection
Lighting: Frost Lighting
Rentals: Party Rentals
Natalie & Mike’s dog George was a very important part of the wedding day. He even participated in their engagement session last year.
Natalie’s Melissa Sweet gown was light and airy and flowy and gorgeous and perfect on her.
I went to hang out with the guys for a little bit up in “The Nest”…here they are playing caps.
Then they decided to build a human pyramid for me. It lasted just long enough for about 2 pictures.
Lots of love for George.
We were lucky enough to get a few minutes outside before the skies opened up.
You’ve gotta love a couple who celebrates the signing of their ketubah with a high-five.
And the ballroom at The Willard could not possibly have looked any more fabulous.
It’s rare that every single guest at a wedding piles onto the dance floor at the same time but this dance floor was packed every second of the evening. This group had so much fun that I could barely get in there to photograph them.
Well that’s all for now. Thank you Natalie and Mike for sharing your big day with me. It was such an honor and a pleasure and I loved both of your families!
