I had better get back to blogging some weddings since I already have 2 more in the pipeline to share. So here is part 2 of Jane & Mark's gorgeous DC wedding. There's just something so lovely about a wedding that blends classic style with modern sensibility and these two pulled it off flawlessly. Jane paired her mother's vintage wedding veil with a new gown from Hitched. The couple held their ceremony at Dahlgren Chapel for a traditional, historic feel and The Reagan Building served as the perfect location for a contemporary reception complete with a fresh, modern color palette of black, white and green. Loved every minute of this wedding. Enjoy! Jenni hung out with the guys while I was photographing the girls and grabbed this adorably fun sequence of Mark and his groomsmen. Mark and the guys wore these great lego cufflinks...so cute and so unique. Wedding Coordinator: Bella Notte Gown: Hitched Floral

A couple of weeks ago I met up with Sarah and Dan, some of my awesome LA wedding clients who are getting married this July down in Carlsbad. When these two showed up at my studio to meet with me the first time, they brought along some dinner from Subway and we were all immediately at ease. We hung out, we laughed, it was just great. When I headed downtown to shoot their engagement session, the vibe was the same and we just bummed around the city for a few hours. I'm so looking forward to their wedding...coming up very soon!
Like I said...it's album season. But some of you might not know that we don't just produce wedding albums. Ever heard of an engagement album? Here's one we did for Cherie and Matt, some of my awesome wedding clients who are getting married at the end of this month. We even left some space around the images for guests to sign at the wedding in lieu of a traditional guest book. This adorable 8"x8" leather-bound, flush-mount book was made for me by the awesome people over at Leather Craftsmen. The leather is just so creamy to the touch and we finished it off by having the couple's first names embossed with gold in a modern typeface. Can't wait to show it off at their wedding!
Not only is it wedding season these days, it's wedding album season as well. The time of year where I work my butt off to deliver all of my 2009 client wedding albums before I become totally immersed in the 2010 wedding season. So there seem to be albums arriving practically every week. I figured why not share them here. Today's is another Queensberry Album, this time a slightly more traditional matted book with a sleek, black leather cover. This one is for Alexandra & Jim, you might remember their beautiful, elegant wedding at The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC last September. I think it's so important that each album be a unique representation of that couple and their special day together. For this reason, we don't use any templates or standard designs or covers. Each album is unique, each album is one-of-a-kind. And each
I already posted the video/ slideshow from this wedding so now it's time to just post some images. First up, Jane's bridal prep. I was so happy to see my own wedding day hair and makeup team back together again. Leah McKay and Giselle Chreky never disappoint and Jane looked absolutely stunning. Gown from Hitched. When I saw that Jane was going to wear her mother's wedding veil, I just about died. It was so beautiful and such a nice vintage touch. I love this sequence of Jane and her parents. Can you say STUNNING?! The ceremony was held in Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University so we had to grab a few fun wedding party portraits in the classrooms. That's all for now, I'll be back soon with more...
