Since I spent the better part of last fall shooting holiday mini-sessions, I figured it was about time to start sharing them here on the blog. I'll share them in chronological order just for my own sanity. I rented another loft in the building where I have my studio. Since my studio is full of desks and computers and furniture etc., it was great to have a space that was completely dedicated to the task at hand. It also had a nice big window so I was able to shoot some images will available light only. Our dear friend Bianca, who works in my husband's art department was kind enough to help me rent some pretty amazing furniture to use (like the Barcelona Chair you'll see below). I really want one of my own. :) So here is the Burke family...John, Cheri, Jack & Dylan...some of my favorite people in the whole

I know, I know...I can't even watch the Golden Globes without imagining which of those fabulous gowns might be suitable as a wedding dress. I saw plenty of paler colored dresses on the red carpet this year that could certainly do the job...but here are my top 3 picks. My favorite of the whole night was Drew Barrymore. Sometimes she gets it completely wrong but this time she really nailed out in this gorgeous nude Atelier Versace with crystal embellishments. So so gorgeous! I also adore Emily Blunt in this wispy pink D&G sort of reminds me of the Reem Acra goddess gowns we've been seeing on brides over the past few years...but the pink color makes it fresh & new. I thought Kate Hudson looked the most bridal in this white Marchesa. I like how it's quite structured but her hair just didn't do it for me. Still, it would make

Alright I've been reading Q&A's from a bunch of my Twitter friends over the past week so I've decided to jump on the Ask Me Anything bandwagon. So feel free to go for it. See that little box in the sidebar on the left side of the screen? Go ahead and ask me can be anything really and I will answer. Try to ask questions that I can answer in a sentence or two though. This is for fun, not an online workshop. :)

Like the rest of you, my eyes are glued to the TV today watching for more news and updates about the devastation in Haiti right now. It's so sad that I just want to sit at home and cry. During my 3 years in Los Angeles, I've become accustomed to the fact that we could have an earthquake at any point and I've been lucky enough to only experience one so far that even registered on my own "scary scale"...meaning that my house was rocking but without any damage. It's hard for me to even imagine what it might be like if my own house had collapsed, along with all of the other homes and buildings in my neighborhood. I know that I would hope that someone was sending help my way. So I encourage everyone who is reading this right now to make a donation to help Haiti. Even if

I have so much photography to blog from the past couple of months, I didn't even know where to begin. So I figured my session with Charlie & Sam, some of the most fun and handsome boys in all of Los Angeles would be a great place to start. Now besides these guys being great to hang out with for an afternoon, their house is just eye-candy for a mid-century modern lover like I am. That coupled with the fact that the boys wore simple clothing along with their cute buzzed haircuts made the images look like they could be straight out of the 1950's. Like I always say, classic never goes out of style. Here is the album layout that they ordered from the session which I just can't wait to get my hands on. On a side note, Charlie & Sam's mom Beth is a fantastically talented designer with
