Before I get into this post, you may have noticed my all new website and blog, designed by Identity Kitchen and programmed by LinkArtist. I'm so thrilled with the fresh, clean, minimal look and I look forward to blogging a lot more often now. Anyway, I'm still in DC at the moment and before I jump on a plane back to LA tomorrow, I wanted to be sure to blog some images from the very fabulous wedding that I shot on Friday. The wedding of Bershan and David came to me by way of Sara Muchnick from Engaging Affairs and with the help of an amazingly talented team, pulled together an event that was quite a stunner. Ceremony Venue: The Hay Adams Reception Venue: US Chamber of Commerce Catering: Occasions Caterers Floral Design: Regina Evans Transportation: Regal Limousine This was quite a dress! Bershan and David rode around in a gorgeous 1952 Gold Bentley. We got stuck in

I am full swing in wedding season right now so I guess there's no better time to keep the blog updated, right? After almost having a heart attack over my tax bill this morning, I jumped on a plane to DC for a wedding that I have coming up this Friday with my wonderful friend Sara Muchnick from Engaging Affairs. This year is a very busy one for me and I'm actually going to be shooting the weddings of 3 different vendors from my own wedding. How crazy is that? In May I'm shooting the wedding of Steve, the drummer from our wedding band, Gonzo's Nose. In September, I'm shooting the wedding of Andrew, one of our wedding videographers from Monachetti. And in November I'm shooting Sara's wedding. It's such an honor to be asked to shoot the wedding of another wedding professional so it's going to be an exciting

Since my last trip to DC coincided with the cherry blossom festival on the mall, you're going to see an awful lot of cherry blossoms in these next few blog posts. :) But what a gorgeous time to be in the city and to take advantage of the beautiful scenery. I had the pleasure to meet Amy and George for the first time the day of their engagement session about 2 weeks ago. One of the challenges of living in Los Angeles and commuting to DC is that I often don't get to meet in person with wedding clients until the engagement session and sometimes even on the wedding day itself. But Amy and George were just as delightful as I knew they would be and now I am twice as excited to shoot their wedding coming up in June. I learned that Amy and George are both about to finish

I know it's been absolutely ages since I've blogged (head hanging). But since my new blogsite is in it's final programming stages, I figure I had better start blogging again so that all of my content isn't super old when people actually start reading again. So here goes. If anyone needs an update, I am living in Los Angeles with my wonderful husband of 6 months, Gary but still flying to the east coast (mainly DC but also NYC, Montreal & Maine this year) for various weddings. One of the most recent was Jill & Sean's wedding at St. Matthew's Cathedral and Hotel Monaco on March 28th. I think that Jill found me through one of my brides from a few years ago but as it turns out, we actually had a number of connections. Jill's cousins Carey (who was a bridesmaid) and Lori were sorority sisters of mine at Virginia
