Hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so. I'm back in LA now and it tends to take me a few days to settle back in and catch up. So today I bring you Virginia & Brian's wedding from last Saturday at the Hotel Monaco, coordinated by Meredith Flanagan. Flowers by Multiflor and lighting by John Farr. This wedding was just full of wonderful designer details, absolutely nothing was overlooked. Here are some highlights... I don't know who designed the gown but it was the most gorgeous two-piece lacey number. I just had to grab this shot of Virginia ironing the sash to her dress while she was already wearing it. So cute. I love this shot that my incredibly talented sister, Lauren took. The wedding party, you know how I love group hugs. I love shooting weddings at the Monaco because it is just full of cool little nooks to

Yesterday morning I got up early and drove down to Richmond to do a shoot with the fabulous Janie Medley, a really incredible florist. I got two of my gorgeous brides (Maria & Katie) to get all dolled up again. J'De Hobbs was kind enough to do their hair and Erika Nixon did their makeup. Both looked so incredibly stunning and were fabulous models. The images will be appearing in a wedding magazine in the coming months but I don't know the release date so I'll post more on that later. For now, here are a few highlights from the shoot. I forgot to thank Dee for letting us take over her beautiful house ALL DAY on Sunday. Thank you so much Dee!

I had the weirdest thing happen to me on Saturday. I was shooting a wedding at the Hotel Monaco in D.C. and right before the ceremony I heard someone call my name. I turned around and my jaw dropped...there were Blythe's parents sitting there in the 2nd row. Yes, the same Blythe of Blythe & Ton from last weekend's wedding. I just couldn't believe it since it was a 3.5 hour drive between D.C. and Warm Springs, VA. Even more interesting was the fact that one couple didn't refer me to the other, the brides and grooms don't even know each was a complete coincidence. I have a few things to catch up on and then I will blog Virginia & Brian's wedding which was so lovely and full of fabulous designer details. On another note, I just received an email from the very sweet Sam Dobyns who shot this

Blythe & Ton found me online somewhere. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure how they found me. Maybe you can shed some light on that for me Ton? I had never met either of them until I arrived for their wedding weekend. Anyway, they are such a lovely couple & are both currently in med school at Harvard so obviously very busy. They had a ton of help from their wonderful families in planning an elegant and rustic wedding at the Garth Newel music center in Warm Springs, VA. My sister, Lauren (a.k.a. my assistant) and I drove from D.C. down to Warm Springs (about 3.5 hours away) on Friday and finally got to meet Blythe and Ton at their wedding rehearsal and then spent the weekend with these two delightful families. Here are some highlights from the wedding... Here is Blythe admiring her gorgeous gown by Reem

Wow, was today a busy day!!! After a meeting with a real estate (?) agent this morning about renting out my house in Fairfax, VA (DC), I jumped in my P.T. Cruiser (my current rental car) to head to Georgetown to go to the ShootQ set up party. This was put on by Andrew & Rachel of LaCour Photography and they are not only incredible photographers but it turns out that they are also just the most warm, lovely people as well. I felt so fortunate to spend the day with them learning this incredible new studio management system. Unfortunately, I did have to cut out of there a little bit early but it was worth it to hang out with Erin & Tim and to shoot their engagement portraits in and around the studio in Fairfax. Afterwards, I met with the very lovely Molley...gotta give a shout out to
